I don't think they were that thrilled with it, because they're trying to win a Championship and Garry Harris is pretty good at basketball. Generally when you're trying to win Championships you like to keep all your players who are good at basketball. The ultimately goal is to hoist the O'Brien trophy, not have the cleanest accounting ledger. In the end they obviously felt that the cost was worth it and they had to make salaries match.
