The thing is, Dipo's play right now is still better than what we are getting from Josh Richardson and at times THJ. We need a sort of baseline consistency. THJ isn't that. JRich unfortunately isn't that either. Dipo has always put up around 18 ppg on around 42-45% shooting along with great defense.
Plus his value is at an all time low, making him incredibly cheap relative to what other all-star level guys are going for. He would most likely walk which basically means the Mavs won't trade for him but still.

I have wanted Frank as a reclamation project the last couple years to fill out the roster because he would be cheap and is only 22 still and has shown lots of defensive potential.
Also I just don't get what you see in Franky Nicotine. Sure he has all the measurables and what-not. He's an interesting 12th man. But I will not be surprised if Frank is out of the league for good this summer and is back in Europe.
