I would definitely shuffle the rest of the roster before I start talking ab shipping off Ingram. The best they would get back would be a younger player that's maybe not as good currently but has similar upside and a better fit with Zion long-term.
The fundamental problem is that you have two natural 4s who are always going to have issues on defending the perimeter for a lot of the same reasons. This isn't like Tatum and Brown where both of them can defend at a high level and play on or off ball on offense. So as long as you have both of them on the floor, you're defense is probably going to be bad (which it has been all year). And while both Ingram and Zion are gifted scorers, both of them are best with the ball in their hand creating and neither are great off ball or spot up shooters. Zion ideally needs to really be surrounded by 3D wings who can play high level perimeter defense and shoot lights out when the defense collapses in on him, and a 5 who can clear out the paint.
New Orleans is already in buckled in for the long haul, which is why they traded Jrue Holliday before the season. They haven't even used up all the Laker picks from the AD trade. They shouldn't be desperate to win now when they still haven't cashed on on those trades yet. They can trade Ingram off to a team that is desperate to win now. Ingram would probably be a phenomenal big stats on a bad team player. If you're New Orleans you eyeball franchises who are desperate for a playoff appearances and cant draw premium free agents and pry their young talented assets off of them (ie Kings with Halliburton and Bagley)
