Finally me and Kamm agree on something. The take turns approach is not great. I was very encouraged last game where KP was immediately posting up in the paint against the Nets small-ball lineup which created a lot of good opportunities on offense. That obviously isn't going to happen very game.
I also thought the Luka/KP PnR was going to be a staple of this offense. What happens usually is teams will just switch though and then KP drifts back behind the 3 point line while Luka does his thing. So it kind of works but then Luka looks a lot more comfortable when he has a roll man. When Luka is running with an effective roll man he looks unstoppable.
Sometimes KP does roll and gets an easy basket but not nearly enough. My hope is that as soon as the team switches the smaller player on KP he immediately runs into the paint like he did last game so that teams are discouraged from switching altogether.
