This is very valid point and one I overlooked. It would be a shame if KP is one of those guys. He either isnt as motivated now or now that he has his purse he and his team are being high maintenance behind the scenes. I hope this is not the case.
I like KP...I dont think he has overly slow feet or is unathletic...he seems like he should be a force on both sides of the ball. Is it how he is being used?
KP may be unhappy here...but I would like to see him with this team in the playoffs one more time. I am hard on this team...I gripe about the talent...but I still think the Mavs arent showing their full hand. I think if we get to the playoffs...we will look way different than we have looked this first half of the season. I say this because I find it odd that some games we look like a well oiled machine(communicating on defense, offensive spacing, moving the ball around, swinging the ball around the perimeter) and then we look like a JV team for 8 games in a row. I believe we are saving some tricks for playoffs...if KP stays with us and wants to play hard for us and we look like a disciplined team in the playoffs it might heal all this drama going on right now.
