The trade junkie in me is always interested in thinking through the possibilities.  What else we gonna talk about...Drummond?

The pragmatist in me says this is highly unlikely (though it would help to have more true data on relationships within the organization and health).  Like I've said, I'd like to avoid selling low (if there is a sell).  But, I have no idea if this is as bad as it gets or if it could turn down another level from here (injury or grievances becoming more public).  People tend to think patience fosters improved value, but that isn't always the case.

FWIW, I like the idea of Wiseman and Pick, but the filler matters in terms of further roster building.  KP will probably post 30/15 tonight and may do it every game for the next week, but he won't make the season without another stretch of missed games.  What is the saying about the most important ability being availability?

I like how much having Drummond on the Mavs pisses some people off so it's fun to ruffle those feathers.

I see all the KP trade talk as just that.  I don't think there is an ounce of truth to it.   I figured you'd be in the same camp...not that there is anything wrong with either camp.  I do think you are being overly optimistic about bringing back Wiseman + the Minny pick.  

I'm 100% in line with you regarding the possibility that KP's trade value could go down further.  It's just hard to gauge how happy or unhappy the KP relationship at this point is and what his trade value is league wide.  I just have a hard time thinking Cuban and Donnie are ready to pull the trigger.  Maybe it does come down to availability which is certainly a valid concern but loops back into his trade value.

This drama certainly is par for the course for this season though.
