I actually totally disagree with this.

Spears is closer to Stephen A Smith than Woj. In fact, he's almost always wrong in his predictions.

Here he is saying on ESPN that there's no way the Lakers get Davis by trade. 

In fact I've gone back and skimmed almost every single story Spears has wrote on The Undefeated since 2018 and he almost NEVER makes predictions on paper. Instead he writes exposès about transactions after they've occured. So now we're going to believe he has an incredible piece of info from one of the most tight lipped orgs, that is also not corroborated by the 2 most reliable reporters on the Mavs? 

All I'm saying is believing Spears rumor mongering is akin to believing Chris Broussard.
