Imho that is a lateral improvement at best. We know how KP and Luka work and at least on the offensive end, it works fine. We don't know how Luka/Walker would work. I don't think Smart is that much better than JRich. I really like our Brunson/JRich/THJ guard rotation. I think they complement eachother very nicely. With this trade you are basically replacing JRich with Smart and likely losing Brunson to Walker (not enough minutes to go around). Theis is nice but not really a difference maker. A lot of other bodies with more than vet min contracts at center (Powell, WCS, Bobi). So, unless you include what you get for Brunson, the trade is a no go for me.
As I said in one of previous posts, I would be only interested trading KP in a three team trade that has the potential to make us better by reshaping the team.
