The problem is that Horford isn't a great rebounder either and that trade seems awfully expensive.  On the plus side the defense would improve and Horford isn't going to get bodied down low like the rest of the rotation.  I don't hate the idea but I hate the price tag you've purposed and I'm not sure the improved defense is going to offset the continuation of getting smashed on the boards.

I added that FRP+Green mostly for Dort. Johnson and Richardson are just salary matching for Horford who doesn't have a lot of inherent value himself. Richardson could still be traded for a nice package to a contender so it makes sense why the Thunder would theoretically entertain the idea.

I'm really high on Dort. His defense is otherworldly, and he's still super young. His offense is slowly improving, though a work in progress and is essentially giving us what Richardson is giving right now.

In terms of rebounding, Horford certainly isn't on Drummonds level, and isn't a clear cut solution to that, but he does bring with him a defensive pedigree this team would benefit from which I feel is more important than giving up the offensive rebounds right now. 

It's expensive, and losing that 2027 pick might be too much, but I was just thinking what the Thunder would realistically want for Dort and a FRP would be the starting point. Maybe Richardson has that value and another FRP isn't needed. 

Anyone interested in Kevin Love?

I actually really like Love, but I don't think CLE is in any rush to give up draft capital to get off his contract. They're tanking hard. And while Love is counter productive in that venture, he's never on the court enough to actually impact that endeavor. 

I'd like Love, but his health concerns and contract make me as leery as can be.
