Here is why I want Andre Drummond:
The Mavericks are 26th in the NBA in offensive Rebounding.
Adding Andre Drummond who is averaging between 5 to 6 offensive rebounds a game would put us in the the top 10 range.
Given that we shoot a lot of threes, those would be extra opportunities for second chance points.
I will not go into his dominance in the defensive rebounding game.
Until this year Drummond has not shot below 50% from 2 point range which could be an indication he is not being used right.
The best asset to any big man is good guards and Cleveland has good guards but they are young and don't really know how to involve an NBA big man offensively.
The Mavericks have been dominated by every playoff teams front court and every Western Conference team in the playoff hunt has a legit frontcourt. KP is not physical enough to even out frontcourt production.
If we cannot consistently defend the paint and rebound we will continue to be an average team.
Luka would utilize Drummond offensively so I am not worried about that.
