KL believes that's who KP is as a player.
I understand the issues with pick and roll defense, but KP was seen as the defensive anchor for all of last year - until those Blazers games. I tend to be with you to some extent - he still isn't back, whether physically or mentally.

That's a tough choice. I think we'll have to use cap space if we want to keep Brunson, so that could limit our options. In any event, I'll double down - if we trade KP with any of those three, we have to get two top-five minutes guys back - preferably, a young star and a vet.
