I would love to have Simmons.  I've long fantasized about Aaron Gordon being a Dwight Powell+ upgrade at the 4 to compliment KP, but it's doubtful he's ever going to become what I envisioned/hoped him to be (basically Draymond lite on defense & elite roll man on offense).    Simmons could be that.

I like Powell and I think he's brought a lot to the Mavs, on and off the court. He's sometimes under appreciated for the work he puts in.

That said, I'm liking Simmons as Powell 2.0, if he is willing to take that position and could get behind participation in a multi-team trade that brings him here. Personally, I'd like it sooner rather than later to let everyone get comfortable in their roles and how KP slots in when he returns. But timing is out of our hands here.

Is there any sense of urgency between Hou and PHL to put a deal together?
