Luka expects a title before 2027, not after. If you want to do that, those picks are basically worthless, because every asset has to go for win now.

And to do this, you need to be smart with our asset management. 
Trading all picks you have, which is few years away anyway so not very desirable, will barely get us anything. 
I have no problem trading those picks, but when their value are high and can be added to enough assets to get a star. 

And for the record, I think the goal should be winning between 2023-2025. If we win in 2021 and sucked in those years Luka will do a Kawhi on us. 

But we all expected Giannis to play off the ball with Luka. Why not make the same assumption when it comes to Simmons? It was already mentioned in previous posts. Simmons is basically the perfect small ball 4/5. Especially next to a stretch big like KP.

Giannis was a player coming from 2nd division in Europe, developing gradually in the NBA into a modern day PF. He plays as PF who loves to make plays to teammates. 
If he came here, it would have been in FA trying to win rings. Easier to tell him to be that guy. 

OTOH Simmons is PG who was told all his life he is the best ball handler and passer who should make plays. He have been this way all his life, and if he ever comes here it will be through a trade, not as FA planning to play with Luka and change his whole game. 

I believe that Simmons has the tools to be what you want him to be, I don't think he has the mindset for it.
