I just don´t understand posters that want Powell to start even though he cannot shoot only to completly rule Simmons as a potential fit on the Mavs roster because he cannot shoot.
I agree with you, I am not ruling Simmons out, other than the fact that I don't think we have the ammo to trade for him. But he would have to accept his role. Would he?

That is why I firmly believe Mavs better served in "reloading" their asset. Draft picks and young players are the most desired trading currency, we lack both atm. Build value for some of our rookies, pay some of our draft
debt to the Knicks and then enter the market aggressively with our assets.
Luka expects a title before 2027, not after. If you want to do that, those picks are basically worthless, because every asset has to go for win now.
