Just to be clear, the "I don't think so" from my earlier response is about changing my stance.
My stance is still that they will and should trade the guy, but I have to admit I'm wavering.

Do he and the Mavs unequivocally agree on that?
Will that be stated in Tim's part of the negotiation?
If so, how do the Mavs respond?
Do they say, "wait here while we see if we can add a "top 3" of the roster player? And then he says, "uhhh, no"?
He's going to sign with the team who offers the most money. If multiple offers are basically equal, he'll re-sign here in Dallas. Once signed, he'll do whatever he's told to do. I love the dude, but he's not Jimmy Butler. I think he was just answering a question honestly.
