It sounds to me like KP FINALLY understands what he has to do, for example. Carlisle talked a lot about the defensive "job requirements" changing for the modern center, and he made it seem like there was meaningful communication between them.

I did. Really insightful stuff. KP really does seem to "get it". The game has just moved beyond the standard post play. Slow and plodding can't compete with the amount of 3s taken now. And he really seems to get that. I thought he seemed very genuine in his take on things.
Luka doesn't sound anything like the other players in the league that are essentially hired guns. He sounds much more interested in building something great like Dirk did with staying in Dallas.
I think they did take a step forward this year. They were the 5th seed even with all of the issues they faced early on with Covid and with a condensed year. I'd like to see KP grow this summer as a player and a fit within the system. Then, with the growth of the other players that should be a good jump forward.
As far as the offseason goes, I want to see them get a gritty wing (2/3) and another big that can defend the rim. That's the biggest area of need I think.
