I hope everyone takes the time to actually watch the exit interviews above. The selected quotes tweeted by local journalists don't really do them justice, imo. 

It sounds to me like KP FINALLY understands what he has to do, for example. Carlisle talked a lot about the defensive "job requirements" changing for the modern center, and he made it seem like there was meaningful communication between them.

Thanks for the advice/admonition.  I've done Rick, KP and THJ so far.  I don't get the impression either player is going anywhere.  I don't think KP was selling false humility.  He seems like a very introspective guy who is brutally honest with himself.  He's got to change his game.  The good news is he starts at a place of great talent.  BTW, we all tend to focus on how he fits offensively.  Carlisle seems to acknowledge this, but his priority seems to be more about making him work defensively.  To me the roster question is less about KP and more about who is the PF next to him.  Who is that guy that improves upon either Maxi or DFS?

THJ wants to be here.  It helps that there probably isn't a big market for him and there are other guys who could similarly fill his role.  The issue with Tim is he doesn't create or defend well enough to be the starting SG next to Luka.  We know this because we've spent two summers trying to find someone other than him to play that role.  BTW, Carlisle gave the job description ("rugged defender who shoots and can make simple plays").  That sounds much more like DFS than some PG who is the "secondary creator" that some here think is the highest priority.  It also doesn't sound like THJ, who Carlisle said was a high priority.  Not sure how to make all of that work other than THJ off the bench again.    

One other thing Carlisle said is "we are going to have some cap space".  That doesn't happen if KP stays and THJ is a "priority" unless JRich opts out.
