Full disclosure the starting lineup we have was the one I wanted. 5 players that can shoot deep and 4 guys around Luka that can play defense. J Rich was also supposed to be able to do some playmaking. I thought Powell would get too much in the way of KP's offense. Now we have a big enough sample size where its just not working.
I don't think Powell gets in the way and his screen setting will help free guys up including KP for easier baskets. Powell brings something besides just jacking up 3s.
I'd like to see us get back to the rotations we were at last year substituting a mix of more Brunson, less J Rich and some JJ to make up for the loss of Curry. We have seen that Maxi has lost some of his defensive effectiveness as his minutes have gone up so I could see him being better overall coming off the bench at that 25 mpg number and also helping close games.
Brunson can help close games in the role that Curry had. Rick would usually go with the hotter of Curry and THJ to close and I think you could do the same here. J Rich is basically a marginally better 2019 Delon Wright to me so I would like to see his minutes decreased. Similar to Maxi its possible you see J Rich more effective on the defensive end and perhaps he could spell DFS more by coming off the bench.
