good point, Barea has a better $/pt and $/assist numbers

Barea is a proven winner, he has a championship ring. What did Luka win in his career!? Only managed to get us to playoffs once. Couldn't bring us past first round, naturally.

I mean, is Europe even a place? I've heard that they don't acknowledge Trump as Supreme Leader

They have 16 guaranteed contracts now. Some people are worried that they’re going to cut Luka to keep Barea, but most of us feel like things will workout just fine.

Oh, I thought it was 17:

Porzingis, Luka, Powell, Kleber, Hardaway, Richardson, Green, Johnson, Brunson, Powell, Barea, Burke, Terry, DFS, Boban, Bey, Hinton

So one of those guys is out obviously. I guess a Luka salary dump is coming to clear space for 2021

Yeah, if you’re counting the two-ways, then they have 18 including WCS.

taking more gauranteed contracts to camp than they can keep is something they've done before I think

Hey, if he gets to the point where he can make threes at 35% in-game, who's going to tell him not to shoot it? Especially when freaking Powell is allowed to bomb away at 30%? Willie's dreams of being the next Porzingis begin to come true and everybody's happy.

I am VERY hopeful for WCS. He has spoken very positively about RC helping him to learn how to love the work. And the Mavs have a very inside view of him and they offered him a raise. He has a BIG chance to prove himself here at the beginning of the season. Such a huge opportunity for him.

I'm tempted to get on the WCS hype train but the fact that they waited waited waited and once they struck out on everyone else were like fine here's a 1yr guaranteed deal...not on it yet.

He obviously has the talent.

They didn't want to ruin their chances to get Gobert. Wink

WCS is a far superior player to Powell - on both sides of the floor. If he had Powell's intangibles, he would be one of the best bigs in the game.  Getting him back was huge to bridge the gap we will have early in the season.  Time for WCS to shine.

WCS is what Tyson was before he won us a title. WCS was starting to hit his groove here. Plus he was really working on his game. I feel he is going to surprise this year.
