I think this summer is the perfect time to trade him. There won't be a better time. The reason is that you can say he's now completely healthy and made it through the playoffs ready to go. He's coming into next season healthy with a full offseason of work. And most importantly you can blame his recent play on there being issues with the coach. Not to throw RC under the bus but it's a perfect opportunity to sell on what he could be in a better environment "Now that he's finally healthy".
That's exactly how I would frame it. He's been sold on what he could be his entire career so far. Why stop now?

ATL also a lot better than their record suggests, lots of injuries, and clearly Lloyd Pierce held them back; McMillan has dominated since he took over.
That's just Doc doing his thing. He's the only coach in NBA history to lose a series after being up 3-1 more than once. I think he's done it 3 times now. McMillan is schooling him.
