The Mavericks could provide a pick and iwundu for hield or a pick swap in 2025 for taking on the salary should be a fair trade.

Mavs could trade them THJ straight up and Kings would be done with it after this year. I have a feeling Kings will let Bogi go regardless.
So i keep getting corrected that Hardaway is a 3 not a 2. Richardson is a 2 not a 3. Wouldn’t Richardson and Buddy play the same position?

Richardson can guard point guards. Luka and Hield can't guard much of anyone, but I think there's hope that's changing in Luka's case. Hield is one of the few players in the league who would be a major step down defensively from THJ.

In any event, I think that Luka's best trajectory toward becoming a plus defender is that he guards medium-sized wings (what used to be known as the "small forward," heh). He should play alongside two guards, one of whom is capable of guarding point guards.

I wish we would have gotten Bogi, as I think Luka-JR-Bogi is a great smalls lineup with good playmaking. Luka-JR-THJ is playmaking deficient, and Luka-JR-Hield would be even worse.

Here's an idea - trade THJ/Brunson for Buddy, then flip Buddy for Lavine.
