Regarding KP, Gobert, and Luka as your core and I'm don't think this is the case yet, but what if KP's latest injury has made the Mavericks rethink their long term plans?

This is the thinking behind it. The trade route to me seems unlikely. Utah likely messed up by not making any bigger moves so far. Gobert could be most “get-able”. He and Luka had plenty of time to discuss in the bubble. Him coming in FA is what intrigues me. Gobert, KP, Luka plus keeping Richardson, DFS, Maxi, Brunson plus young players Green, Terry, Bey. It all works under the cap before re-signing Richardson and Luka. I don’t see how we could expect more than that
