I disagree. After last summer in the playoffs, not retaining him would be a huge loss. Now magnified by the trade of Seth.

Number wise the contract is a steal imo, but if it takes you out of MLE targets. It doesn't make much sense. Unless they never were really interested in Crowder or Wood.
