Melting down? No. Would that have been a foolish trade? Yes. I'd say that about using 18 on any expiring player, especially if they are north of 30 years old.
BTW - for those who like DJJ, it sounds like he'll be a UFA.

I just don't want to crowd out the development space for Green/Bey. Defensive help and rotational help at the 4/5 is still a need. If you can't grab Wood: Wouldn't mind a trade for Tucker. Wouldn't mind giving Millsap a 2-year deal. Or both and flip one at the TDL.
