 Last year only about 25% of his attempts were wide open compared to 80% for DFS. And he certainly fits the bill as a secondary playmaker.

Huge part of this is due to the fact that DFS understands his role, and is almost elite in moving to empty spaces. 
People give ton of credit to the passer, but sometimes you need to give same credit to the off the ball movement.

That's true, and I don't think Dallas would want Dinwiddie to have the DFS role. That would be a waste of his skillset. But he should still get more clean looks than he's accustom to.
