I don't think so, at least not to a full extent. All three parties need to be satisfied. Boston will never take a bunch of junk just to make a favour to someone. They will get properly compensated.

Boston really doesn't have much power here. If Hayward opts out they get nothing. Why is Hayward doing them favors on the way out the door? If it's a team like the Mavs that don't have the cap space... They need Boston to do a deal. And so maybe they have a little bit of negotiating power. But than the Mavs or another team has the negotiating power of not being interested if it costs too much. 

Getting a good contributing player back is what Boston has to want at a minimum. Otherwise they lose him for nothing and get worse. 
If they don't get worse... Y'all are really inflating GH value.
