Umm...no, I don't think so. 

I doubt the draft is involved with this one. I think you look at it like a free agent signing, not a trade. It'll be THJ and something small when it comes time to trade, I think. 

I don't think the Mavs are incapable of looking at multiple options at once. I have never, ever believed that they missed out on something they liked by not being prepared for it. I think they just don't always like the same stuff fans like, or what fans think is possible for them isn't always actually possible.
