Not really. You pay Hayward if you think he is good. If not, you don't get him. You can forget getting him for a pack of peanuts, because there will always be a couple of desperate teams looking for that final piece of the puzzle to push them to the top.

My point - when you find the piece of the puzzle you like, price is not really that important at this point.
Price is important until it’s not. Yes, once we get everyone here we can pay them whatever. Problem is getting additional players once you’ve already used your cap. Are we really ready to say Hayward or Buddy are the final piece of a championship contender? Still think we want flexibility next offseason. Even if Giannis is off the board
