John Hollinger at The Athletic has a series out this week on Free Agents.

Here is what he wrote about Burke:

Tier 4: Less than MLE, more than minimum

Trey Burke $7,131,892

That is the kind of evaluation that got him fired from the Grizzlies job. Probably wanted to give Delon Wright an extension, too. 

To commit $7M to Burke, in a pre-arranged deal before the official start of free agency, just to find out that all the best available FAs sign one year MLE deals would be so Mavericks. Burke´s ceiling is the room exception.

That being said I´m exhausted. They moved the draft back too far.
