I do realize the league is moving more and more towards perimeter play. I just think it's shortsighted to pass up a defensive MVP and 3rd star because of fear of how you'd fill in other gaps. Personally I'd take my chances and focus on how to use a uniquely dominant frontcourt to our advantage.

I would think so, too. The complicating factor is Gobert's impending free agency, as Ainge isn't the type to blow assets on a rental. I wonder if Gobert has a preferred long-term destination.
