In my opinion for an Italian, Slovenia or Latvia is same as USA. These guys didn't grow up together playing in same leagues (a national game here and there doesn't really count) not to mention the age difference. I don't think there is anything like "European connection".

I don't think being a hero is what he is looking for, he is looking for a ring (than he will sign with Detroit for 20 mil
). Realistically, Lakers for the MLE makes it much more realistic to get the ring than Dallas. In a short term. And at his age, Gallo is looking short term.
