@"Scott41theMavs" you know I absolutely expect WCS to opt in, but I don’t know how you can be a fan of this team and think a healthy Powell won’t be given every possible opportunity to keep his job (unless he’s moved in a deal).
He’s one of the more veteran members of the team, widely recognized as a leader in the locker room. He is their chosen representative for the players association. The front office obviously Values him, since they gave him the contract.
Speaking of the contract, do you think they gave him that money to ride the bench? Contract offers come attached to roles.
I think WCS has a chance to move ahead of Boban pretty quickly, but it’s going to take him quite a while to nudge out Powell if he’s healthy, imo.
