In fact you say...I wondered if the Mavs were the only team that put in the work to get that opportunity. Now I know cause it is a fact. Good thing you have that insider info.

The reason I call it a fact is because, as you say, the rest of the league didn't even know KP was available. Literally, the Mavs are the only team to put in the work that made them the only team in the league to know that KP was available. 

I guess the reason I'm engaging in this back and forth, which I suppose isn't proving to be very productive, is that it seems like you're dismissing a Mavs win based on reasoning that you could use to dismiss any team building win by any team in the history of sports.
