I think Curry is a better fit. THJ might be a little bit bigger but he is one of those players that make it impossible to play good team defense. No one screws up more switches and rotations. Curry is easier to exploit on the ball but he at least knows how to read passing lanes and play help defense.
THJ is also our best trade match for bigger contracts. If the Mavs want to make a big move his big expiring deal would be easy to move. Curry on the other hand has a cheap long term contract. Good value for the Mavs. Not sure if the Mavs could get a better player on a similar deal.

Absolutely. Something I LOVE about Curry that I do NOT about THJ: 

Curry knows his role and does not "get out of his lane." 

THJ is constantly swerving "out of his lane" and like you said, plays horrible TEAM defense.

Hardaway was asked to do too much IMO. Him as the 3rd scoring option? Meh.....but as the 4th scoring option 2/3 off the bench or starting he could be ideal
