One thing y'all forget about is that Mavs won't have anything but future worthless 2nds after draft night. Furthermore, Mavs won't have their own pick in 2021 and I don't think they can trade their 2022 pick. Remember TJ Warren who was a very good shooter, got dumped for a 32 last year (he obv greatly improved this year as well). Wright has is in worse shape in terms of a player and negative asset even if his contract is smaller than TJ Warren's was at the time.
Mavs could always trade this years picks for another team's future picks so as to keep those in their war-chest should they need them later, I think that does happen some times. I would not underestimate the Mavs willingness to shed future cap space.
