GAME 60: DAL (36-24) @ MIA (37-22) | 118-126 loss

Eh, the Heat players were just better and more athletic, and played more aggressive ball.

Another blown winnable game. JJB crapped the bed bigly.  Pretty much playing 4 v. 5 on defense anytime he’s in the game.  He should never play except when a desperation spark plug is needed. Play Lee.  He has some size and isn’t a complete liability like JJB.

It is very unfortunate that RC doesn't seem to trust Delon to run the offense by himself.

Yes, JJB was ineffective, but so was Delon, who couldn't seem to do anything either.  I'd agree about playing Lee, since he has some size to him.

Lost this game defensively. 118 pts is enough to win. Could have gained a game on OKC, who got blasted 133-86 at Milwaukee.

At least Delon has some defensive impact. JJB might as well not even cross mid court.  He’s a defensive disaster and pretty much lost this one himself.  It’s not his fault though. RC should know better. He has a decent, NBA quality quard who is 6-5 sitting on the bench.  JJB shouldn’t have been on the floor.

I think it can be generalized that our Bench got mowed down tonight. Only scored 16. Heat bench more than doubled that.

Agreed.  We got beat by a better team.

This was not an easy game 1) Miami is a strong team, 2) Luka not at 100%  3) we get torched by strong SG's - like with Derozan last night; we have no one that can guard a guard who wants to score **can't say on the road, b/c... we play well on the road

Seth kept us relevant in this game.

Yes. He was quite a find for Miami undrafted from Michigan., and they were missing their other deadeye shooter  in Tyler Herro.

Yeah attrition has taken our once helpful bench and made it a liability. Obviously the bench needs Brunson, but losing both he and Seth is too much. And I don't know that we'll win games against good teams with an injured Luka and a completely ineffective bench. We need to heal up a bit and solve this bench disaster if we want to beat good teams.

Exactly. True that Luka wasn't really good - not his worse game, he had worse. And he wasn't that terrible. However, there is just no firepower left on the bench. Especially dissapointed with bench defense, screwing up 5 point lead in a matter of seconds and get into bonus in some 2 minutes. Wright is just getting worse - where is his "famous" defense? Dragic was just walking past him for layups.

Good thing is - starters + Kleber are really good. It is not that difficult to get a couple of good bench players in the summer.

It is evident that RC is moving to playoff rotations. Only 9 guys played. I liked the hustle in the last minutes, trying everything to turn it around.

Followill mentioned that the Mavs are 20-6 when DFS scores double digits.....he was awful tonight.
