Yes and the only thing I was hoping to hear that wasn't brought up, Hey Dirk come and help me with my 3 point shooting.

Otherwise great to see Dirk pulling for the Mavs and chatting with Coopper

I guess that's what happens when you shut down the only two players that qualify for the primary ballhandler role. Throwback to the Nate Hinton/Justin Anderson PG experience.

Is that Dumont sitting under the basket on the Mavs side?

Not an nba player, but one of those Diaz kids is pretty skilled. Not sure which one.

Johnny P can really shoot it.

Mavs picked them in the g-league draft. They look like Aldama starter kits. Unlikely to make it in the league but they fit into the Ujiri/Schmitz vision. Something to keep in mind because Ujiri used to value the g-league team more than other GMs.

Wow.

Poulakidas 3 out of 4 on threes in the first half.

I put those numbers into my calculator, and it came back with 75 percent.

75 percent on threes!

Clearly he should be starting for the Mavs this season.

Poulakidis is sending a message to Biberovic in these last 2 games

Ish will be a two way at least, Smith gone and Lawal that special.

Mavs used everyone and set Larry and limited Kao.  Ish showed off more skills at the PG and had some Larry assist, plus attacking and scoring at the rim. Jorge will be a Legends this next year, he was their first round, but really he made threes, handle and passed the ball and look more comfortable shooting a 3 then AD did as a Mav.

John Poulakidas had another great night shooting the 3, but the last two games the other team defense was poor, but he really can make open 3s, I can see him staying for sure if Klay leaves just have problems see how he helps the Mavs as a 2 way, because if he is playing a lot of minutes the is in bad shape.

Green Jr should be on G league time and maybe as a two way some place.

I like  Poulakidis.  I love the green light, the greenest of green lights, he plays with as he knows that his only shot (free pun) to establish himself and claw his way onto an NBA roster.  However, I do wonder should he find himself on an NBA roster if he can dim that green light a bit.  It's a tricky balancing act for sure.

Some thoughts after watching this one:

I don't know what people are seeing that makes them think Ischenko isn't ready for the NBA. I don't think he's ready to be in the rotation for a playoff team, but I don't think Dallas will be that, anyway. This kid is just ooooozing IQ and effort. He played a ton of PG today, and I'm not sure that shouldn't be his position. At the very least, he can be an awesome secondary guy, once he learns to pull the trigger on those catch and shoot opportunities (I agree with that criticism). But my goodness, he plays a fast and active game. He has genius feet and hands on defense. Needs to get a little stronger, but I love watching him.

Lawal is raw, but I have to say he already seems to be taking to the game more naturally than O-Max did. Tough for me to admit, given I'm the owner of three empty, state of the art resort towns on O-Max island, but this guy's measureables are already amounting to impressive things about 3-4 times in each of these games. Yes, the rest of his minutes are scary, but those 3-4 moments in each game are pretty encouraging, imho.

It's early, and all of them need development on a massive scale, but I think there's a chance Dallas went 4/4 on their draft picks. Even if it ends up being only 2/4, that's pretty great, but I'm pretty excited about all four of them. Frankly, I'd have Ischenko in 2nd place at the moment in my Dallas rookie rankings.

I'll rent you a condo on the Lawal island that I own.

Agreed on Ish.  He just looks like he belongs.

I'm enamored with these rookies as well, currently working on an island for each of them. A Mavs rookie archipelago.

I probably need glasses, but when I was looking at Sergio and Seva play on a small phone screen, I have to focus on who is who. Both moving at the same speed, both can pass and both can handle the ball. I would even say Seva is a better ballhandler for an SG than Sergio is at PG. I mean relative to their positions, Seva is a surprisingly good ballhandler. If Seva develops even further, he can pair with Sergio to form a gigantic back court (if Cooper plays with these two it's gonna be nightmare fuel for small lineups). The court vision of these two upcoming rookies is just too good.

I know he isn't going to topple anyone from the rotation just yet, but as 4th string PG and a 4th string SG? Not bad. There are worse uses for a 2-way spot than this.

Ultimately (and this is getting too far ahead), I'm thinking Seva in a role similar to Boris Diaw.

I hope someone watched Ish very well this time... Comparing him to that freaking Josh Green was a completely mess.

He worths the 2way for sure.

He is nothing like Green. Green was athletic and low BBIQ. Ish is bigger than Green, better handles, not as athletic and way better BBIQ.

Picking something as mundane as "afraid to shoot the 3-ball" as a comp for Green is logically outrageous.

Nembhard ruined our SL, with him out of the rotation we are a 100%W team.

It´s crazy that Ishchenko gets so much criticism for not shooting enough on 43/40/61, while De Larrea shooting 27/20/88 is barely mentioned. Now I´m not concerned about either. It´s a new country, new court dimension, new teammates. My biggest problem is his FT percentage given how frequently he got to the line. Also he does not rebound enough? 4.3 RPG, 1.3 SPG, 0.8 BPG for a SG/SF? Not sure what the expectations are there. I think even though he does not look like it, he´s a bit of a careless showman with his passing and turnovers. Oh for all the people that miss Luka, he talks A LOT to the refs. Must be decent at English and not exactly a sign of being Josh Green.
