so Green, 4 rookies Morez, Sergio, Ishchenko, and Lawal, 3 returning two ways John, Tyler, Cisse and then returning rookie Ryan Nembhard and anyone else that they can sign for a look but there is only one 2 way contract to offer.
Does Cisse play in SL or is he a free agent now? Roster spots for the mavs are running out and if all 4 rookies they drafted make the team that will be a trick I would like to see them pull off. Assuming we can still sign Bagley cheap this is what it looks like till we see some trades change things. Cooper PJ Ishchenko Morez Bagley Lawal Sergio Max Klay Kyrie Ryan Naji Lively Gafford Cisse Leftovers: AJ and other free agents unlikely to be resigned 2 way contracts: John, Tyler, and one open spot left open for ? How else is it going to shape out. Of course trades will change things and force us to wait. Who is likely to be traded? I hear Gafford's name mentioned but so far Lively cannot even run and jump on his injured foot so how can they consider such things? PJ is a useful defensive leader and an adequate 3 point shooter when he is passed to if open as Luka used to do find him so why blame him for not having the gravity of a star PG who can pass him in a spot where he can hit it? Klay is an off the bench assassin that is starting to age and loose accuracy is that his excuse as well? Naji has other ways to score and he defends well but he lacks a 3 point shot that is reliable so should he also be on the trade block? Is Kyrie going to be kept like they say? Lots of possible moves. Who goes and who stays?

I say Kyrie will stay (at least until TDL, he is the mentore here).
Gafford stays unless a no brain offer because Lively is still out. Klay is gone. Maybe Boston or Miami. PJ&Naji i don't know... Probably waiting for real good offers.

I see PJ & Naji as Masai guys... Wing with multiple skills and can play defense.
Probably not on the block now.

I’ll beat this dead horse too - we all saw the features about how Dirk helped OG improve his outside shot, and we saw the Larry-esque results. He should work with Cooper, Naji, Rez, and Tobi to make them consistent outside shooters. Use your resources!!!

Ryan Nembhard is currently on the 16-man roster for @CanBball’s upcoming @FIBAWC qualifying window and is scheduled to then join the Mavericks for summer league after his stint with the national team, league sources say.

If they played Flagg we´d probably win the Summer League. Nembhard, Flagg, Cisse, Poulakidas, plus four 1st round picks, two with pro experience.

Joining the team for summer league and actually playing in summer league aren't the same thing. Will be interesting to see how they handle Nembhard (playing for team Canada) and de Larrea (season ended less than two weeks ago, he played 70+ games).

I think they have 3 months off before the season starts and that they're more than fine playing in 5 summer league games. Its not like either of them are expected to be 30+mpg starters where we have to worry about their minute load.

But considering how many times we have seen players sit out summer league for various reasons I wouldn't get my hopes up for the full Nembhard/de Larrea experience in summer league.

Mavericks first-round pick Sergio De Larrea, I’m told, is now indeed expected to play in summer league next week … while the broader topic of plans for next season continue to be worked through.
