Interesting game. Mavs on a back to back and shorthanded without Luka (Lively ? and Marahall?). Mavs had a laugher against Portland a few days ago, so you think they will come out with emotion. We will see though.

If you look at the next few games, it is important to bank some wins. Who knows what they are walking into with the Kings next. Then it is at the Rockets, home against the Cavs and than at the Grizzles. Maybe three of the top 5 hottest teams to start the season.

Naji got 4 games and PJ 1 game. PJ suspension is BS. Naji seems excessive imo.

Following the on-court incident, Marshall attempted to further engage Nurkić in a hostile manner in the corridor outside the locker room.

LOL. This league is a clown show. Draymond can do whatever the f*** he wants and PJ gets a one game suspension for a shove. If these suspensions were proportional to Draymond, Draymond would not have played basketball since he coldcocked Poole.

Good, Nurkic is a punk. About time someone put him in his place, but that makes sense about the 4 games then.

In a trickle down way, Hardy probably gets a lot of minutes now, with Gartman in the mix if Hardy is not playing well.

Is Lively playing, or do we see lots of Powell?

Gafford, Lively-Powell
Kleber, Omax-Powell
Grimes, SD
Klay, Hardy
Kyrie, Gortman

OUT: Luka, Naji, PJW, Exum, Morris, maybe Lively?

Dallas Mavericks Injury Report vs. Portland Trail Blazers:

Dereck Lively II: Out (Left Hip Contusion)
Luka Dončić: Out (Left Calf Strain)
Naji Marshall: Out (NBA Suspension)
P.J. Washington: Out (NBA Suspension)
Danté Exum: Out (Right Wrist Surgery)

Portland Trail Blazers Injury Report vs. Dallas Mavericks:

Deni Avdija: Questionable (Low Back Soreness)
Dalano Banton: Questionable (Left Hip Contusion)
Toumani Camara: Questionable (Left Foot Sprain)
Robert Williams III: Questionable (Right Ankle Sprain)

Mavericks are -3.5 favorites on a b2b in Portland, without 4 key players.

This is a real test of Mavs determination, with only a 9 man roster for all intents.

I wonder if even Morris gets time. But I think Kidd will be focused on what it takes to win, rather than blowing it off as a lost cause.

No appealing any suspension in the NBA unfortunately.

I think Naji getting more games despite defending himself is a travesty. PJ’s ejection and now suspension is even softer.

Going to need Hardy and OMax to take a step up tonight. Mavs essentially have no bench right now.

This is the perfect example of how much the draft system deludes the product. These f***** play like their lives are on the line. No way these guys play with this much effort every night.

Not sure I’m feeling this “4 guards + Gafford” lineup, but I don’t blame Kidd for trying stuff in this one.

The Hardy era is something I’m almost ready to see come to an end.
