Who was the "player of the game" who elevated their game to help the team get the win?

KP! Seth and DFS were also great. Brunson showing he is a solid back up PG. We won on a night without Luka and with THJ turned off.

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

I think KP edges out Seth for this one on account of that clutch block at the end. Great game!

I almost tipped my vote because of that then saw the replay that KP gave up the rebound in the first place. So the block just covered for his own poor blocking out.

I mean c'mon. We've ALL been asking for KP to step up.

Well he did. 26/12/4/2 on 9/19 (47%) shooting. Dude showed up HUGE! Game saving block as well.

OH and he also did this

Seth was also huge tonight. I forgot to give him his due praise. Without him there's no Mavs win. He carried the load along with Kristaps.

THJ was totally off tonight, and Seth more than made up for him.

Also Maxi to me is 3rd in line for tonight's Dirkie. His defense was incredible. He guarded Giannis about as well as anyone could. No individual can stop Giannis, but Maxi made it certainly difficult on several drives, and watching him guard Giannis vs. Powell it was like a night and day difference.

Drilling two threes in a row right into the reigning MVP's face is worthy of a Dirkie imo...

My favorite couple KP plays were when he rebounded over Giannis twice, second time he dunked the reb over him!

I'd call it a team win, but Porzingis had the most at stake.  Coming into the game, he had to prove he's the star the Mavs traded for who can carry the team in times like this.  I also thought that given his last NY game (or even his last play as a Knick) was against Giannis and the Bucks, there has to be something mental he had to overcome.  And he did.

Great win!  Great team win!  Special call out for Maxi on defense.  KP was...pretty damn good.  But I'm giving the dirkie to Seth.

Brunson. Why, when we got the best game of the season from KP and another great game out of Seth?

This is why I voted for JB for Dirkie.

For a second year player, a second round pick, to start in place of a transcendent player, against the best team in the league, on an 18 game win streak, on their home court, and put up this kind of game?

That's above and beyond stuff right there!
