Game 42: Dallas Mavericks (24-17) vs. Los Angeles Lakers (20-21)

Not disagreeing, just reflecting how crazy that is.

On another note, these refs are doing everything they can for the Lakers.

Grant Williams graduated from the Draymond Green anger management class.

His escalation just made the refs review it. Go Grant!

How is that not a goaltend

Luka is real mad he's going after annoying Laker fans.

Honestly, if their name isn’t DJJ or THJ, they’re missing shots they shouldn’t miss, and I kind of expect more of them to fall in the second half.

Luka has to calm down and just freaking play.

There is no fairness during Laker games.  It's not simply the number of fouls called.  Just as important are all the fouls the Lakers commit that are not called.  No team in the NBA reaches as much as do the Lakers.  It's not their stars but rather the mediocre guys like Russell, Reaves and Vanderbilt who get away with constant reaching and grabbing.  I understand Lebron and Davis getting the benefit of the doubt but the other Lakers are treated differently as well.  I really respect and admire what Lebron is doing at 39 years old.  I absolutely hate the fact though that the league is so blatantly assisting the Lakers to a playoff spot though.

2/1/1 0/5 shooting in 34 minutes for our bench. If we could turn Kleber (or Holmes) + Curry + two 2nds into Washington or WCJ, that would be a big win. Don´t think we can trade THJ for that level of player straight up anymore. THJ is too important for this team.

Not a single FG from the bench. Kyrie is 0-6 from the field. Lively, THJ and Luka combine for 42/53 points. Can only get better.

Need to get THJ back into that bench unit.

Only down 2 with that kind of stuff going on is a miracle

Davis with an obvious over-the-back against Luka.  He then misses the layup so the officials then call it a foul.

Never mind. They missed 6 threes in a row to start the 3rd quarter.

Thought the effort was good in the first half. Just sloppy and couldn’t hit shots.

Second half the defense has not been good and Mavs have gone to a lot of isolation ball.

Teams need to find another alternative when their shots are not falling. Kids has mentioned it impacts their defense and you can see it. Lakers getting good looks every time down

Now the Mavs are being beaten without help from the officials.  I don't really feel any better.

Mavs rely on iso ball and the shot making ability of Luka, Kyrie and THJ. Not like the last game was any different when it comes to shot quality. Just THJ on a heater instead of being ice cold.

Live by Hardaway, die by Hardaway I guess. Still you really feel like he is out of place when he doesn’t make shots. 18 shots thru 3 quarters is too much though.

But it is defense that needs to change. 15-20 and 42 points for lakers. Many of them really good looks. Just can’t give teams that many easy looks no matter how good your offense is.

Also why was Lively out early and not back? Did he do something besides that turnover? The defense was not good by anyone but it is not like they got better when he was out.
