I'll also say, like I said in my reply, trading KP now would be a selling low prospect as I think he has DPoY potential as well as being a 25 ppg All-NBA first team potential. That is in the future though and you're right to say we should give him this year as a mulligan to see how he does next year (assuming he doesn't get another major injury, which is also a factor to be considered).
One other thing to be noted about KAT's defense, he has been in the top 20 in blocks since entering the NBA with top 10 last year. He's also currently sitting at 1 steal pg. I know his advanced stats don't like him on D (just looked at DWS and DBPM and he looks fine there), and that could be attributed to what you're saying that he takes too many plays off (all defenders do that, probably not to the extent he does though), but there's something there that if unlocked, he could be pretty good too. Along with that, he has the body to do some pushing himself while also not getting pushed around so much on D, something that KP will struggle with and that we really should make up for by getting someone who can do it for him.
Just discussion as I am on board with keeping KP for the long term and really like his contributions so far. Issue is, there's no way the Wolves trade KAT to us for anything less than KP IMO. However, if it came to that, man it would be amazing to have Luka, KP and KAT here!
