Ignoring all of the hurdles you mentioned, the Mavs do have the contracts to make it work.
It depends on how highly the Wolves value guys like Jackson and Brunson.
I think it's very likely PHX trades Ayton for KAT to reunite him and Booker. As much as I think getting KAT makes the Mavs a super duper team, I don't think they have the trade capital to pull it off.

KAT is objectively better right now on offense, but how elite KP is on defense (vs KAT) makes it a wash to me anyways.
KP is happy here as well, and its a move Donnie would never make. So I don't think the Mavs should trade KP for any reason. He's the glue that holds the defense together, and he fits in very well culturally with Luka.
