Trading for Drummond at the draft would make sense. Then he either opts out and signs with rights or he opts in and extends. Schwartz is the agent.
Whether now or in June, it is hard to match salary without THJ. I watched the show and Lowe didn’t think Dallas wanted to part with THJ.
Of course they "don't want to part with THJ." That's called public negotiation. If they regard him as a can't-lose guy at his contract, they deserve the lost opportunities that come with that. That said, Drummond is not an opportunity, but rather a (hopefully) avoided accident.
