Would be nice if we could keep this clean and don´t turn this into another trade ideas thread. In the last few years (old forum) we basically had 2-3 trade talk related threads with the same topics and discussions.

Since this is a Community driven site if any posters see any trade rumors NBA related please add a post here for others to see and discuss...I also believe these type threads which most sites do not have will be an advantage to get more fans to join the Community...

Major Mavs news from the trusted media members probably should have their own thread IMO...

I will do my usual part in mass posting rumors as I have time but any help is appreciated...

Agree and am willing to help keep to keep posts in the proper thread as needed...

FA and TDL are exciting to me to follow so I put that excitement into threads to help contribute to this Community...

Idea from me is to have the other thread changed to. "Trade Machine ideas" or something similar to avoid confusion...

I think the Mavs will make a deal, but I'm nervous about it. I think a great deal of their current success has to do with chemistry - probably the most important factor other than Luka himself, tbh. I know there's a lot of "we're only this and this and this player away from being a contender," but careful what you wish for. Remember Rondo and the strange death of the Monta team. If there's some miraculous way to upgrade one to three of Powell, DFS, and/or THJ with very similar but superior players (so as not to screw chemistry) using only those players, Lee, and picks, then I'm all for it, but I think that's fairly unlikely.

The Toronto Raptors have no plans to part ways with team president Masai Ujiri despite lingering rumors of the New York Knicks' interest in acquiring his services.
Larry Tanenbaum, the chairman of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and part-governor of the Raptors, said of Ujiri to Postmedia's Michael Traikos: "He is the best. But no team can come to talk to him. That's tampering. And every owner knows that. Masai is here to stay."
Tanenbaum said the Raptors haven't spoken about a contract extension with Ujiri, given that he's under contract through the 2020-21 season, but added the goal is to keep him in Toronto long-term.

I think they will certainly look to improve the roster but I don't think they will pull the trigger on anything.

I guess I forgot about the Barnes TE, which I think they must use. The TE can only be combined with cash or picks, not a player. I'm not sure how many desirable players (expirers, perhaps?) are going to be available for that low of a price, but the Mavs need to be buyers with that. If the player they get from it is better than one of our current starters, great, but at least add to that bench and our talent quotient stockpile for the future.
