Charlotte coming off a tough high scoring win last night. It would be nice to see the Mavs jump on Charlotte early and have the game decided heading into the fourth. Especially considering they play tomorrow against an improved Orlando team. Maybe remember the two brutal Charlotte losses last year as well.

Some interesting matchups too. Both former long Duke centers matching up against each other. I don’t thin PJ Washington missed a shot last year playing them. At least it felt like it. Hayward also played well in at least one of the games. Can Dallas improve on that?

Must win for Mavs to continue the positive start of the season. Charlotte won last three games against Mavs and are not a bad team. Second night of a back to back for them after a tight win against Indy yesterday. The core has been together for some time now and have dangerous offensive weapons on all five positions. Williams had a huge game against Indy with 27 points. Mavs will have to play better defense than against Denver to take this one.

It will be interesting to see how they match up, as Charlotte is also quite tall positionally. Lively on Williams is certain. Kyrie will likely be on Rozier. DJJ on Melo. This means Luka either on Hayward or Washington. Assuming they all play, of course.

Rozier might be out. He hurt his ankle and was helped off the floor last night.

Great start from Kyrie. Luka once again complaining instead of getting back on defense.

Spacing all off. So many missed open shots. Lack of rebounding. Hurts to watch

Luka back on the bench!

Rebounding is keeping the Mavs in the game. What is killing them is that no matter who is involved they cannot prevent penetration.

Getting outscored 23-12 in the last 8 minutes against this team is just embarrassing.

Started off good. Loved the ball movement early. Luka sort of stopped the flow and the jogged back on two straight possessions. So frustrating. Bad look. Mavs going to need a good lively game. Hornets getting a lot of looks in the lane.

Clash of philosophies. Mavs 14 3PA/27 FGA. Hornets 4 3PA/ 22 FGA.

On paper they're staying in it, but with the eye test the rebounding just looks as bad as ever. Mavs need to shape up

Hornets have 2 offensive boards. Probably would have more but they aren't missing. It's a layup and floater drill.

At what point does Kidd just call a timeout and bench everyone?

Defense really bad. Going this small isn’t helping.

Really disappointed in their focus playing against a team who played last night.
