GAME 59: MIN (31-29) vs. DAL (31-28)| 124-121 Loss

As has already mentioned, he is playing through something that is clearly hampering him IMO. I do not think he's just "gassed". Luka needs to basically not have any injury issues hampering his movement in order to just play something approaching average defense, and that's not the condition he's in right now. Already mentioned I think he should have sat out till after the all star break.

Luka must learn to adapt and change his game

They just don't have it tonight...first blowout loss in a few weeks. Even in those games without Luka before the trade, they were playing above their talent level to keep it close. They need the All Star Break fast!

At this point, Brunson's having the last laugh. Knicks have a better record.

kidd has a lot of work to do to figure out how to optimize the combo of kyrie and luka.

No one is doing much but back to Luka ball.  Not pleasing to the eyes

Needs to be a compromise of Luka having the ball and running one of the best offenses vs the ball movement that we saw the past several games.  Tough balance though.  Kyrie has been in the Dinwiddie role tonight on the floor with Luka.  Invisible.

No answers tonight.  Manny is playing well but not having much resistance either.

He needs to come up with anything that resembles a defense next to both. Might be an impossible task.

Kidd doesn't know how to optimize anything.
I'd just be happy if Kidd figures out to make the Luka-combo work at 50% capacity.

In this game, it doesn't look like he has 2 stars.

Sort of depressing even our announcers talking about keeping Luka in to start the fourth…in February down by 18….

Scheduled loss...Minnesota with 2 days off vs. the Mavs with only 1 day off after a B2B. The defensive intensity just isn't there tonight. That road trip took a lot out of them being short-handed

They string together a few stops, they'll get back in it.

Kyrie showing greatness. But just too big of a hole to dig out of tonight...Green can't make a shot, probably too much fatigue

Going super small might be the solution. Not like Luka can protect the rim but it´s impossible to defend him with a traditional big. Forcing opponents to go small as well.
