I think it was very clear that Kidd didn't want to play Powell in the playoffs, he just had no real other option (I think he wants Maxi off the bench but with the closers and that also suits him much better) and the team trusts him.


If the Mavs don't trade Powell and don't play him except in emergency, does that alleviate your anger? Cause I really do believe Kidd doesn't want to play Powell.

As long as Powell and McGee combine for less than 15min I am okay with a big body that can play some regular season minutes. Still bad asset management but at least the Mavs won´t change the entire scheme to make room for both of them.
Come playoff time I would prefer to reduce their minutes even more. Ideally going with the Lakers and Suns approach. Benching them in the most important games of the season.
