MAVS NEWS: Luka Is Hurt, But is Trudging On | DLive's Mom Passes Away| Maxi OUT
Miami has a tough time scoring pts yet they score a season high 76 to lead 76-64 at halftime. with Jimmy Butler leading the way with 22 pts and no Bam tonight. Just a 12 pt though, so we'll see.

Mavs are just getting crushed on the glass, yet again. Such a predictable weakness and yet nothing was done. I think it’s just a misguided organizational philosophy that rebounding is unimportant.

To make matters worse, they go to Atlanta on a back to back tomorrow. They shot 61% from the field and still lost. They're only a 1/2 game ahead of Utah and a full game behind OKC.

They couldn't even stop Zeller and Love from dominating. The frontcourt situation is worse than 20 years ago when it was Raef LaFrentz, Shawn Bradley, and Evan Eschmeyer  Cry

I said a couple of times before, Mavs PnR defense is beyond bad. No idea what is going on, but it looks like Powell, Maxi and Bullock just lost their soules. Well, at least Maxi made me laugh a couple of times. His turnovers were special Smile

And people defend the MBT on signings with “market value”. Get that crap out of here!

The outcome of this new CBA had to be known by the owners for some time now, right?  I'm wondering if this is why we didn't follow up the Kyrie trade with all in trades at the TDL?  Also, now it seems we are going for a controlled rookie contract.

Here is a scary thought if the above is not true.  What if Cuban now uses the new CBA as a reason not to sign Kyrie.  And sell us all the Tyson Chandler excuse, that it locks in the Mavs for years to come.

One thing is certain, if there is a way to misinterpret something, MC will find that way and stick to it.

If they do really do that, and they really should, it would basically confirm they tried to tank the last 2 weeks but didn't want to make it obvious.

Here is the sad part, if we keep the pick.

Good things the Mavs have done in the last decade:

Draft Luka
Draft Brunson
Draft Green
Draft Hardy
Sign undrafted DFS
Sign undrafted Kleber

Bad things the Mavs have done in the last decade:

Free agency and trades.

What they going to do?

More free agency and trades. Confused Dodgy

we got hardy from kings via trade if i remember correct. getting wood for a bag of craps was a good one too, it was kidd's fault not to use him right. kyrie was a good deal too, hope he stays or brings us some nice talents through s&t if he is to leave.

Nobody is going to want to win that last game (Spurs v Mavs)

I don't think that's true at all. If they were trying to tank from the start they would never have played Luka and Kyrie so many minutes. That's what's sad, they really were trying to win and just sucked at it.

Same as in Brunson case. Mavs are in bird rights trap with no real alternative if Irving walks. Result is logical - you have to (over)pay and hope the value won't collapse later. I don't believe SnT would bring anything near the value Mavs gave up for him.

(1) Iztok Franko on Twitter: "More insights on the #thisleague UNCUT podcast today. @TheSteinLine said he would be stunned if Mavs offer 5-yrs. Expecting some multi-year deal offer. Chris saying you're asking for problems if you offer 1+1. Difference on 4-year max between Mavs vs others is 210M vs 201M." / Twitter

Houston is playing earlier on Sunday - so the Spurs will know exactly if they can gain something by losing or if they‘re set and can use the game to end their season on a positive note by kicking some Mavs behinds.

They just laid one on the Kings in OT. Stopped them from getting closer to the #2 seed.  You never know what you're gonna get with the Spurs.

There would be nothing for the spurs to gain regardless of the rockets outcome because the bottom 3 teams all have the same lottery odds.
