MAVS NEWS: Luka Wins Community Cares Award! | DLive's Mom Passes Away

I have more emotional connection to the 2 early second rounders that we wasted that year.

This 100%.

Terry played a grand total of 56 minutes for the Mavs over a season. There have been 10-day contract guys that've played more and retired already and we don't care about them.

What a waste of talent. Sad to see the guy's mental imploded and I hope he bounces back and finds something he loves.

Donnie: You have a room 8x15x15, how many basketballs can you fit in the room?
Terry: I hate basketballs.
Donnie: Okay.
-----
Donnie: So I think we might not want to draft Terry.
Cuban: ....but Bill Simmons says he is the next Trae Young. We take him.

His whole account is a great breakdown of Wood last night.

Also kind of confirming that Powell is probably out tonight so…does Wood start with Luka for the first time this season?

News from Stein on two former Mav's:

[Image: 72.png] I can't pretend that my foremost focus at the annual Showcase in Vegas is the actual basketball, because I'm obviously here to network with as many league executives, coaches and agents as possible. But one source of on-court action that always hooks me is the emergence of NBA veterans who enter the G League right at Showcase time because they know that the event is so heavily scouted and hope to play their way back into the big leagues. Nine-year NBA veteran guard Trey Burke joined the Stockton Kings (Sacramento's G League affiliate) earlier this month and I've been reporting this week on two more vets (Sterling Brown and David Nwaba) who are trying to play their way back into the league:

Seems sort of strange to recall Hardy imo.

Such a drag, for us and for him. In the middle of a truly breakout season. He had what...two subpar games, so far?

This is terrible for Green. And terrible for the team. Sounds like he's going to be out awhile.

Of course it was a Greyson Allen arm lock, of course it was. I’d be willing to bet they even called a foul on Green for getting his arm locked.

Quote:Kai H. asks, “What is the current view of Josh Green in the front office? Is he being talked about in trade discussions, or is he viewed as a key piece?”
Dallas understands it must build a title-contending team around Dončić in the next couple seasons, and every non-Dončić player on the roster should be considered available in that pursuit. That said, my understanding is that the Mavericks would be very hesitant to trade Green at this point. One person in the front office told me that he considered him the team’s third-most important player after Dončić and Dinwiddie.
In my opinion, Green isn’t a player who should be traded for anything other than a package for a legitimate star. And the chances are pretty slim that the Mavericks could build any package right now, even including Green, that would net them another star. That makes his future with the team fairly safe, at least for now. I’m more curious what type of extension Dallas might consider for him this coming summer.

I am just reading it as well.  I am surprised Dinwiddie is #2.   Maybe there aren't many options, but while I don't have a final verdict on Dinwiddie yet, I feel like he is replaceable.

Found this comment in his article interesting:

DFS and Bullock, the old archetype, are still valuable NBA players.  They're not the players true title contenders are seeking anymore, though.   Green, and his on-ball dynamism, is what the elite teams crave.  Dallas just doesn't have enough players like Green to completely shift away from this 3 Centric approach.

Lowkey in the top 3 for the dirtiest team in the league.

They dont even win a ring without Giannis sliding his foot under Kyrie.

Dinwiddie has the automatic "Cuban: I won the trade"-contract extension guarantee like Powell and THJ. Undecided
